I am the Project Manager of National Institute of animal Welfare, set up by the Ministry of Environment & Forests with the aim to impart education and training to people involved in animal realted activites.

 

Presently we are implementing 19th short training in Animal Welfare. The trainings are 1-week, 2-weeks and 4-weeks duration. One of our mandate is also research in Animal welfare. The 4-week programme focuses on developing a short research in problem areas of welfare. by this mail i invite you all for a recent 4-week programme, so that these issues can be documented and presented, the reports made here are also reviewed by the Government of India officials, i hope this can be good platform for sharing our thoughts and views on the state of zoos in the country, welfare of wild animals in captive conditions etc.
 
I invite you all to this programme, which begins from 18th September 2006 to 13th October (4weeks), 16th to 27th October 2006 (2-week programme), please sponsor participants to these programmes and see our endevour in education and training field, I am sure you will appreciate and add value to the type of education required in this areas.

 

Please circualte to all concerned for infomration and deputing persons for these trainings. Stay and food will be taken care by us. Registation for 4-week course Rs.1200/- only and 2-weeks Rs.700/- payable by DD to Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Delhi.
