Worldwide Fund for Nature (formerly World Wildlife Fund) – Nearly 88 nature clubs in schools and colleges associated with WWF take part in their regular talks, films and slide shows as well as field trips near Mumbai city. The Panda Bulletin and the nature camps to various sanctuaries are part of the benefits for members. Training camps help volunteers learn the basics of conservation. During Mahashivratri, for example, these volunteers organise the crowds that pour into the Sanjay Gandhi National Park , and during Nagpanchami, awareness is created about the ill-treatment of snakes. Annual activities like tree planting and beach clean-ups are also carried out.

“Karuna” -for animals in distress is an NGO working for the welfare of animals . The main activity of "Karuna" is to provide free of charge on the spot treatment to sick and injured stray animals by qualified vets, through mobile animal clinics . The NGO is also involved in rescues and rehabilitation, awareness and law enforcement, promotes ideologies of "Vegetarianism" and "Jivdaya".
