Yadav was arrested by the ACB on Wednesday for amassing wealth isproportionate to his legal income. Also arrested were Senior Legal Advisor Ravindra Thorat and Senior Engineer Madhusudan Yenkar for possessing illegal wealth.

Both Yadav and Thorat have been in controversy for over a year for their alleged involvement in granting of Transfer of Develoover pent of Rights (TDR).

Yadav is a state government official on deputation, while Thorat has been working for the PMC services for more than two decades now. Ironically, he is the legal advisor to the municipal corporation.

The ACB has sealed Yadav's residence and also raided his office in the PMC premises and two other properties. The police have also confiscated files from Yadav's residence, which were being scrutinised by the officials till late evening.
