Computer and technology knowledge are inaccessible to many but here is a chance to develop your skills and also be part of the brigade marching forward to give back to society and educate them.
Sterlite Foundation invites the senior citizens and organizations working with them to register for the computer classes, learn, come back and volunteer with the Foundation.

Computer Education for Senior Citizens
An initiative by Silver Innings in association with Sterlite Foundation
With the belief that our Elders should upgrade themselves with latest technology and not be isolated from rest of the world, Silver Innings in association with Sterlite Foundation introduces a Pilot Project of Computer Education for Senior Citizens in three centers in Mumbai. After the success of this project this course will be replicated in other parts of Mumbai and other cities of India.
Courses offered: Basic in Computers + Hardware Basic in Computers + DTP Basic in Computers + Tally Basic in Computers + Retail
Basics in Computer would cover- Word, Excel, PPT and Fundamental
Retail Management would cover Effective Communication and Customer Relationship Management.
Hardware (basic) - The objective is to ensure that the person studying hardware is able to troubleshoot and resolve conflicts in the computer systems.
Desk Top Publishing (basic) - DTP helps to develop the knowledge bank required to become a designer and enter the vast field of designers.
Tally- Tally knowledge helps a person maintain accounts and acquire knowledge about the functioning in an organization through practical sessions.
Duration for the combination of the courses is: 2 months
Frequency: 3 days a week â?" Mon, Wed, Fri OR Tue, Thu, Sat
Time: 1 hour between 12.30- 3.30 pm
Batch Size: 20 to 25
Age Group: 50 years and above
Educational Qualification: not required
Fees: Rs.100/- per month, i.e. Rs.200/- for the combined course
